Back in September I shot the North Cadbury Court wedding of Adam and Rupert. This was an exciting day for me both personally and professionally as it was the first same sex marriage I have shot since it became possible back in March. Prior to then you could only have a civil partnership as I had done. They were married at North Cadbury Court by their friend and wedding celebrant friend Louis Demetriou and entertained with singers

So much attention had gone in to the detail of this wedding with every element having been carefully planned. The guests were constantly kept on their toes. Right from the start where the wedding rings were delivered by an owl you could see the thought that had gone in to this most special day. The guys even had their own logo designed by a friend and featured on their cuff links.

Following the ceremony the guests were given a treat of meeting a whole range of owls on the lawns of North Cadbury Court over champagne and canapés, before moving in to the Great Hall for the wedding breakfast. The boys had a delightful blue colour scheme that echoed through the design of the day.

Wow the speeches had everyone in tears as Rupert spoke about their blossoming relationship and all the plans that had culminated with such a special day. I even had a tear behind the camera.

Following the wedding breakfast, guests were entertained with the Yellow Door photo booth,  a casino and fire eaters. The evening celebrations were kicked off by a fantastic firework display.

As Adam is from the USA the boys are heading over there soon to visit relatives that couldn’t make it over. I wish the guys the very best for their new lives together and have added some of my favourite images from their day as follows:
